Rhythms theory or dictation is a book composed by A. Thurner and reviewed by Georges Dandelot. It is one of the classical volumes used in Conservatoires and features some rhythm explanations. Written for beginners, it is composed in different lessons which describe the rhythms used and include up to 280 short dictations per lesson. Both binary and ternary rhythms are overviewed. Georges Dandelot also wrote a series of five books on rhythms named Study for Rhythm.
